Sessions led by expert leaders

All children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times

Under 18's have free access to Global Birdfair with an adult ticket holder

FRIDAY 15 JULY


Each session lasts approximately 1 hour including a 5 minute walk to Growers Row Shared Garden


11:30h   Meet at Information area near Main Entrance

             Be a Nature Expert

             Leaders - Jackie Murray and Matthew Capper 


15:00h  Meet at Tadorna Tours Stand N44 in Nightingale Marquee

             Leader – Dan Rouse. Watch out for their flag!


SATURDAY 16 JULY


10:30  The Nest 

           Mini Workshop

           Gail Ashton - Insect Invetigators


11:30h  Meet at The Nest Marquee 

            Be a Nature Expert

            Leader Matthew Capper


13:45h  Meet at The Nest Marquee

             Leaders – Dominic Couzens and Gail Ashton


14:45h   Zeiss Stand F1 in Falcon Marquee

             Leaders - Debby Doodeman, James Lidster and Stephen Menzie

             Guided workshop on site at the Global Birdfair on taking notes, as well as offering bird identification tips.  The workshop will be free for anyone aged 18 or under. 


15:00h  Meet at Tadorna Tours Stand N44 in Nightingale Marquee

SUNDAY 17 JULY


1345h  The Nest 

           Mini Workshop

           Gail Ashton - Insect Invetigators


In addition to activities in The Nest 


09:00h –17:00h


Sessions running all day by Root and Branch Out CIC, who are welcoming families attending Global Birdfair to Growers Row Shared Garden situated within the Showground site 200 metres from the main Global Birdfair entrance.  It is approximately a 5 minute walk.


Activities running all day are:

Plant Identification Trail – participants receive a sheet to tick off finds and fill in the names

Quadrat Surveys – Setting up 10 metre squared quadrat sampling areas at Growers Row


Timetabled activities are:


Drawing from Nature sessions 

09:30h – 10:15h

13:30h – 14:15h

16:30h - 17:00h


Loose Parts Play – supervised by a play-worker, adult seating available

10:30h – 12noon (1.5 hours)

14:30h – 16:00h (1.5 hours)

IMPORTANT

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMMPANIED  BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES DURING THESE SESSIONS
